A long read for wind power peers and energy management enthusiasts. About 3,000 words, roughly 8 minutes to finish.
By the end of 2025, China’s cumulative installed wind capacity reached roughly 640 GW; wind generated 997 TWh of electricity in 2024 — about one tenth of the national total. At this scale, every tenth of a percentage point in conversion efficiency translates into billions of kilowatt-hours (extrapolated from the statistics above). Against the backdrop of grid parity and electricity market reform, every kilowatt-hour lost maps directly to revenue: the difference in efficiency is the difference in profit.
